Uber Social Master Playbook
At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 10,000 cities around the world.
Good things happen when people can move, whether across town or toward their dreams. Opportunities appear, open up, become reality. What started as a way to tap a button to get a ride has led to billions of moments of human connection as people around the world go all kinds of places in all kinds of ways with the help of our technology.

The Task
We were tasked to create a brand & visual identity for Uber & Uber Eats with a cohesive visual language to be applied across their social media communications.
Our Objective
We wanted to show that Uber & Uber Eats go hand-in-hand, working towards the same goal of connecting people β in line with Uberβs mission to set the world in motion.
We developed the Social Master Playbook which is a cohesive brand & visual identity across Uber & Uber Eatsβ social media channels for the Asia Pacific region.
We brought the idea of human connection to life by using an iconic component in Uberβs user interface β a line with a circle & square as the start & end points as a visual mnemonic that tied the different content pieces together.
We defined the brand guidelines including the typography, tone of voice, photography/videography selection, colour grading & treatment to ensure that a cohesive visual language was applied across different platforms, formats & markets.
My Role
As the Digital Art Director & Designer of this project, my role was to conceptualise, art direct & design the social media assets as well as the Social Playbook, where we defined the brand guidelines including the typography, tone of voice, photography/videography selection, colour grading & treatment to ensure that a cohesive visual language was applied across different platforms, formats & markets.
