Facebook Startup Station

Startup Station was a 6-month program designed to help innovative, data-driven startups grow, develop better ways of working & connect to a network of opportunities, in a tie-up with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). This was Facebook’s first data innovation startup program in Asia & second globally — after Startup Garage Paris.

The Task

We were tasked to design a brand & visual identity for Facebook Startup Station with a cohesive visual language to be applied across all physical & digital touchpoints of the event.

Our Approach

We designed a brand identity for the program which comprises visual elements that symbolise knowledge & growth as well as a colour palette that represents progress, movement & optimism.

We also developed a visual language that was applied cohesively across various touchpoints of the event including the microsite, banners, postcards social media posts, stage design, keynote presentation, programs showcase, name tags, lanyards & swag for the attendees.

My Role

As the Designer on this project, my role was to lead the art direction of the project, my role was to conceptualise & design the brand identity for the program, be the brand guardian for Facebook & work with internal stakeholders & contractors to ensure a visual language was applied cohesively across various touch points of the event, including the microsite, posters, social media posts, banners, postcards, keynote presentation & stage backdrop.
